PCSA POOL Rules

Pool Entry and Usage

A Valid pool pass and sign-in with the lifeguard (or kiosk) required to enter pool

All residents and their guests using the pool and/or accessing the pool do so at their own risk

Anyone under the age of 10 must be accompanied by a responsible person over the age of 15

Patrons must not distract, interfere, excessively converse, or congregate around lifeguards while on duty
-
No pets are permitted inside the pool enclosure outside of special events approved by the Association’s board of directors

No glass of any kind permitted in the pool area

The use of profanity and vulgar language is strictly prohibited
-
No eating or drinking in the pool
-
No smoking or vaping
-
No wheeled items other than strollers, medical aids, wagons, and coolers are permitted in the pool enclosure

Residents and guests are prohibited from entering the guard shack or garage area
Health & Safety

No running or diving
-
Forward-facing jumps only — no flips or backward entries
-
No roughhousing — includes dunking, pushing, and horseplay
-
All incontinent individuals must wear swim diapers when in the pool
-
Proper swimwear must be worn in the pool — no athletic clothes or undergarments

Only U.S. Coast Guard-approved flotation devices

No dolphin tails, mermaid tails, and monofins
-
Patrons must show swimming competence if requested from lifeguard

Individuals who have not demonstrated swimming competency must be supervised by, and remain within arm’s length from, their responsible person while in the pool

Soft toys only. No footballs, basketballs, baseballs, or hard objects to be thrown in the pool area
-
Floats allowed at lifeguard’s discretion and may be restricted for safety
-
Pool and deck must be cleared at the first onset of thunder or lightning and remain cleared for 30 minutes after the last thunder or lightning
-
Ten minute swim break required every hour (extended to 15 minutes if heat index exceeds 100℉)

Everyone must clear the pool

Violation of rules may result in suspension of pool privileges
